My first love is words. All the other stuff I've learned along the way, but good copy makes me weep with joy.
I studied writing, then marketing (you can't do one without the other). Then I worked for a few good companies. But I'm a bit of a control freak and I like things done properly, so I started to work for myself.
When I got really busy and clients were asking me for different kinds of stuff, I hooked up with the other Cheeky Sparrows and asked them to join me. Luckily they said yes.
That means we all get to do the stuff we're good at and love doing and our clients get a fantastic mix of super cool skills. Get in!
Likes: A tight brief, Walnut Whips and Peter Andre

I've been working in some sort of a sales capacity pretty much for 18 years. Began my career working for a newspaper company, selling recruitment space and worked my way up to Sales Manager.
Decided to put my sales experience and recruitment knowledge to good use and started work as a recruitment consultant. Hard work but loved the ups and downs.
Fancied a little change and to broaden my horizons , worked very hard and obtained my IPD and got myself into HR. Went on to work as a HR Manager for both public sector and private companies.

I love communication in any form. I'm as happy on the phone as on Twitter, Facebook or email. I'm enthusiastic about new technologies; I'd go as far as calling myself a social media junkie. I've got a pretty good handle on SEO and how to implement it in my writing.
I studied for my degree as an older student in Media & Communications which led me into PR
I have fifteen years experience of writing for websites including news stories and blogs.

Call me Chelle and I'll respond. Call me Rachel or Michelle and I won't. Make me laugh and you'll get my attention. Keep it funny and I'll be your friend for life. Formulaic joke tellers need not apply.
I'm creative with a passion for design and writing. I love 'playing' with both visuals and words to convey a message/promote a product or service. My signature writing style is conversational with humour where appropriate, but of course I can turn my hand to whatever tone is required.
I have experience in writing blogs, SEO web copy, articles and press releases for companies aiming products and services at B2B and B2C.

If there is one thing that 'gets my goat' it's not Heidi... it's txt spk! Be grammatically correct and punctuate in the right places and we will get along just fine.
I've spent the last 12 years working in private healthcare schmoozing clients and striving to deliver the best possible service. I thrive on giving 100% to customer service and going the extra mile is a way of life. If you want gold standard service I'm your bird.
I may be new to the flock but my determination coupled with an addiction to all things social media (I'm receiving help about it) will ensure that the job gets done.
I've been described as the funniest person you will meet but know when to knuckle down to deliver the goods. My addictive personality and mild OCD tendencies give me a keen eye for detail and make me a meticulous planner.

I've recently taken the plunge into the world of Cheeky Sparrow after 8 years working in corporate roles in sales, marketing and more recently, I specialised in web content.
Producing copy with character is my great love and anything with a quirky angle suits my style perfectly. I inject humour and a generous sprinkling of cheekiness wherever possible, so I'm fairly confident I've come to nest with the right birds!
Give me a brief that gives me free rein to creatively market to your clients and I'm happier than the whole flippin' dawn chorus. Throw some SEO in for good measure and this bird is in copywriting heaven.
Likes: Fashion and travelling to exotic places.
Dislikes: Sloppy grammar and not being on holiday.
My love of writing quite possibly stems from my love of reading. Give me a quiet corner, a comfy chair and a good book and I'm utterly content.
